In a heartwarming celebration of selfless service and social impact, the Maitry Peace Foundation held its esteemed award ceremony on 2nd May 2025 in the vibrant and culturally rich city of Guwahati, Assam. The International Buddha Peace Award & Gaurav Shri Samman was formally presented to each awardee by the Honourable Governor of Assam, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya. In his keynote address, the Governor praised the Foundation’s mission to spotlight individuals who are quietly but powerfully transforming lives through their dedicated service.

The ceremony was led by Surajit Barua, President of the Maitry Peace Foundation and a respected Buddhist monk. In his remarks, he emphasized the need for unity, compassion, and action in today’s world.

Among the esteemed guests and awardees were Shri Gadde Narahari, Shri Manoj Kacharia, and Mr. Sumit Sultania, all of whom were honored with the International Buddha Peace Award & Gaurav Shri Samman.
